RUMMAGE SALE NEWS (San Diego, CA)
 For those of us who enjoy and frequent rummage sales in San Diego , we know there are two rummage sale seasons -- the Spring, when the Thursday Club hosts its Balboa Park Sale and the Fall, when St. James-By-The-Sea rolls out the red carpet for their La Jolla sale. In between, of course, there are other sales -- some medium-sized and some fairly small. Nevertheless, the largest is the Thursday Club followed by St. James.
First up was the 41st Annual LA JOLLA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE which took place on March 12th. Quantities in the collectibles area were down this year but we saw several interesting painted plates, one of Jesus that I could barely resist! Always good for jewelry, the chairwoman moved some of the children's items into a small room just north of the collectibles, where the quilts used to be. Also in the collectibles area were several handmade pillows and a very old wooden high chair for $50.00. To the right of the main entrance and up several stairs was the household area, over loaded with lots of goodies! If you are trying to furnish a new home, are newly married or just need some new stuff, this is the place for all of that! Lots of glassware, interesting art, a few collectibles and in the back a small room full of kids' toys. Beneath that area is the electronics and book room. Mostly novels, but more of them this year. And, of course, elsewhere throughout the church property is a Christmas area and a large room full of men's and women's clothing. We always find prices low and fair at this sale. So mark your calendar for 2006 --usually second weekend in March and watch these pages as we announce new or ongoing sales.
In the meantime, the Thursday Club’s sale is coming up fast, along with other great sales.
La Jolla Methodist's 41st Annual Rummage Sale was held on March 18th and as usual, lots of great household items! Collectibles were down a little but not the quality. This is the 4th largest sale in town and it shouldn't be missed!

Should be spread in top story about Church or centered as you have it. There needs to be a caption if it is not clear what the photos relate to.
